The Music Camp Local Scholarship Student Program

Music Camp offers special scholarships for Oneonta-area music students. Known as the Local Scholarship Student Program, it is a fantastic opportunity for local young musicians to gain all the advantages of being a Music Camp student while still ilving at home! To apply, simply include a note in your application (http://www.Music Camp.org/apply) that you wish to take advantage of the Music Camp Local Scholarship Program, and we will make all the necessary adjustments.

Here are the benefits, requirements, and restrictions for students taking advantage of our Local Scholarship Student Program:

Benefits

• Local Scholarship Students will receive discounted tuition rates for 2, 4, or 6 weeks, and are exempt from the standard "Activity Fee". (All other regular fees apply.)
  • 2 weeks (1 session): $1,400
  • 4 weeks (2 sessions): $2,600
  • 6 weeks (3 sessions): $3,600
• Local Scholarship Students may attend all daily Music Camp programs, classes, ensembles, evening concerts, recitals, and musical events.
• Local Scholarship Students may eat two meals each day in the Music Camp dining facilities. (You may choose not to participate in the campus meal plan to receive an additional discount.)

Responsibilities

• Local Scholarship Students must arrange for their own pickup and dropoff each day. This includes any time they are on campus, or at a Music Camp-sponsored activity.
• Local Scholarship Students must "Check in" at All-Music Camp Choir at each morning, and "Check out" as required with the Music Camp Main Office, or with their assigned staff member.

Limitations

• Local Scholarship Students may not live on-campus in the Music Camp residence halls. "Sleepovers" in the Music Camp residence halls are strictly (and legally!) forbidden, due to NYS Health and insurance Regulations.
• Local Scholarship Students may not participate in Music Camp recreational evening activities unless they pay the "Activity Fee" of $50/session. Local Scholarship Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation home after any evening activity.
