Music Camp strives to extend the music camp experience into new and exciting aspects of music. Our unique Special Programs present you with myriad creative, instrumental, musical, and technical worlds for you to explore, enhancing your growth as a musician and even opening your mind to new career possibilities.

Brief Special Program Descriptions

Writing & Acting Program (Sessions 1, 2, 3)
	Music Camp's Resident Actor, Keisuke Hoashi, travels all the way from Hollywood, CA every summer to head this immensely popular program. What makes it so special is that it gives students the opportunity to create their own original works in Musical Theatre and Film - in just two weeks. Composition Program (Sessions 1, 2, 3)
	Music Camp Resident Composer Daniel Ott heads this marvelous program for all young student composers. More than 300 original works have been premiered since its inception, performed by the Music Camp Faculty. ProTools Certification (Session 3)
	Earn a genuine industry-approved certification in the most widely-used audio engineering software in the music business. Please click here for a full description of the Music Camp Protools Certification Program.
Yamaha Silent Electric Strings (Sessions 1, 2, 3)
	Since its founding 2006, Music Camp has been honored by Yamaha with the annual loan of five unique instruments: the Yamaha Silent Electric Strings. Our students have the freedom to use them in any way they please, including jazz ensembles, chamber music quintets, and more. Classical Saxophone Institute (Session 1)
	Music Camp's one-of-a-kind Classical Saxophone Institute, under the direction of Dr. Paul Cohen of the Manhattan School of Music, is one of the only such programs in the world that addresses the needs of the serious saxophone player. The intensive program provides ensemble work, individual instruction, and access to Dr. Cohen's collection of rare and antique saxophones - one of the largest and most complete collections in the world. Classical Guitar Institute (Session 2)
	Music Camp proudly announces the second summer of the Classical Guitar Institute. Serious guitar players will fing this program a perfect home for challenging daily technique, ensemble, and performance studies. Click here for a full description of Music Camp's exciting Classical Guitar Institute.
International Flute Institute (Session 3)
	Music Camp offers its top-level program for outstanding young flute players from all over the world: The Music Camp International Flute Institute. Open to just 20 students annually, the Music Camp IFI exposes its participants to teachers and artists from around the globe in daily master classes, lessons, ensembles, and more.
