Student Preparation and Registration Information

Welcome to all Music Camp 2013 students! Here are some important links and information that you will need to complete your Music Camp experience this summer. If you don't find what you're looking for, please give our FAQ pages a try.

• The Music Camp Main Office will be FORD HALL, SUITE 123. Please come here for any issues of payments, private lessons, scheduling, placement auditions, etc.
• If you arrive late for REGISTRATION, please come to this location directly. You may pass "GO", you won't collect "$200", and you might even understand that ancient "Monopoly" reference.

• The Music Camp Nurse's Office will be located in FORD HALL.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON MEDICATIONS

• Per New York State Health Department regulations, NO MEDICATIONS MAY BE KEPT IN STUDENT ROOMS AT ANY TIME. This include over-the-counter (OTC) meds, including aspirin, tylentol, children's baby aspirin, gillyweed, etc.
• Students requiring daily A.M. medications should drop by during the morning office hours. Those requiring P.M. meds should come by in the evening hours.
• Please be sure to take responsibility for getting and taking your own medications! We cannot chase you down, wrestle you to the floor, pinch your nose shut, and drop your meds into your gullet. Not every day, anyway.

• All students will be housed in SHERMAN HALL and GRANT HALL.
• GIRLSs will be housed GRANT HALL.
• BOYSs will be housed SHERMAN HALL.
• IMPORTANT. Any person of the inappropriate gender in any inappropriate location in a residence hall is subject to immediate dismissal from the festival, the SUNY Oneonta Campus, and the city of Oneonta itself.
• FORD HALL is dedicated for practice rooms, and are open to everyone.
• Some sections of all halls are designated "FACULTY ONLY." Students may not enter these areas.
• DORM OFFICES are where you may find each Dorm Director, as well as the "sign out/sign in" book for when you wish to go off-campus with your parents.

Participants in Music Camp may only enter the following SUNY Oneonta buildings:

• FINE ARTS BUILDING (Goodrich Theatre, Hamblin Hall, Outdoor Amphitheatre)
• FORD HALL (Main Office, Practice Rooms)
• MORRIS CONFERENCE CENTER (Cafeteria)
• SHERMAN HALL (Boys Dorm)
• GRANT HALL (Girls Dorm)

Students entering any other SUNY Oneonta building without permission are subject to scorn, ridicule, and immediate dismissal from the Festival.

Students, faculty, and staff may utilize practice facilities in any of the following locations:

• FINE ARTS BUILDING (Goodrich Theatre, Hamblin Hall, Outdoor Amphitheatre)
• FORD HALL (Main Office, Practice Rooms)
• MORRISCONFERENCE CENTER (Cafeteria)
• SHERMAN HALL (Boys Dorm - Designated areas in Basement and 1st floor only)
• GRANT HALL (Girls Dorm - Designated areas in Basement and 1st floor only)

Please make certain that you write "Music Camp" on your letter or package.

VITAL TIPS ON YOUR MAIL AND PACKAGES

Mail service for Music Camp will be provided by The Shipping Room, our very excellent friends who have offices in Oneonta and in the Hunt Union building right on campus.

• Packages and mail will be delivered to your dormitories every evening. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR MAIL ASAP AT THE "CAGE" (aka the front desk of each dorm).
• Please make sure to send packages at least one full week in advance of your arrival at Music Camp.
• We cannot take responsibility for lost, undelivered, or otherwise vanished items.
• If anything comes for you after you have left Music Camp, we will try to forward leftover mail items or return them to sender, but we cannot guarantee their fate because we must be off campus by Monday, August 6.
• If you need to send anything at the end of your time at Music Camp, please be certain to make all necessary arrangements yourself well in advance of your departure.

New York State Law decrees that no student shall be allowed to remain overnight at Music Camp unless the student has completed and returned ALL Health and Permission forms to the Music Camp Main Office. If you have not yet done this, please download the forms here and fax them IMMEDIATELY to us toll-free at (888) 632-3221!

• Purchase one at registration.
• Pick one up during any Music Camp concert in the lobby of Goodrich Theatre.
• Talk to Keisuke after ANNOUNCEMENTS.
